Nicaragua

This trip was incredible!

I cannot explain to you how much I fell in love with this family and the people I worked alongside this past week. I took this trip with Habitat for Humanity, we went down to Nicaragua to help build a home for the Araica family. You might notice as you go through these images the beautiful spirit of the people especially little Nellie.

Nellie is 8 years old and at the moment she lives in a home with dirt floors where she gets wet every time it rains, at night she cant escape it and she cries. I fell in love with little Nellie and when I heard this my heart broke for her. I really cannot explain how grateful I am to even have the chance to love on her a little , to step into her life and share the love of Christ even if only for a moment. My heart hurt to say goodbye to her but I know with out a shadow of a doubt that the Lord will continue to provide for this sweet little girl and her family. She doesn't have to cry anymore when it rains and it was a gift to be a part of this beautiful blessing.

Matthew 6:26-27

"Look at the birds of the air: they neither sow nor reap nor gather into barns, and yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not of more value than they? And which of you by being anxious can add a single hour to his span of life?"
